Christmas Special - Brittany

We invite you to join us on our Christmas Special this year when we travel to St Malo to relax and prepare for the festivities to come. It’s an opportunity to enjoy some French cuisine and obtain some desirable French products at keen prices.

Unlike our past Specials, there are no sailings to Brittany from Plymouth in Winter so we have to travel to Portsmouth but the benefit here is that we have a very leisurely sailing at convenient times to one of the region’s most attractive cities.

Friday We depart Plymouth early afternoon and make our way to Portsmouth by way of the coast road with a refreshment stop at Bridport en route.

The sailing on the Armorique leaves at 2015 and a cabin is provided (uprates are available).

Saturday We reach St Malo at 0815 and after disembarkation we will set off out of town to the port of Cancale,famous for oysters. Its harbour area has many bars and cafes and restaurants and you can purchase fresh seafood off the beach.

Later in the morning we return to St Malo and will call into a Hypermarket for some essential shopping.

Our final port of call will be the historic Old Walled Town itself This interesting area will keep you occupied for the rest of the day as you sightsee, explore the many bars and restaurants.

Eventually, we make our way to the Ferry Terminal for the 2015 sailing back to England.

Sunday The ship docks at Portsmouth at 0815 and after disembarkaion we return to the South West.
