Spanish Minicruise 3 days

Brittany Ferries’ “Pont Aven”, the 40,000 tonne cruiseferry, is a most attractive vessel for a short break. Step aboard and let the world go by for three days as you cruise to Spain and back. The big bonus is that the ship sails to Santander, a most charming resort on Spain’s Northern Coast, the capital of Cantabria, and on arrival , the ship berths almost at the city centre. The service is a triangular rotation with the ship sailing from Plymouth on Sundays or Portsmouth on Wednesday and returning to the other port on Tuesdays or Fridays. When you arrive home on the dates shown below a coach is laid on to return you to your original joining port. However, you have to make your own way to the port of departure as we do not run a coach service to the ports.

Note,too, that this deal cannot be modified in any way. It's exactly what it states on the box - a minicruise.You cannot bring a car or extend the stay-to do this you need to make a regular booking on Brittany Ferries' website. Ex-Plymouth

The “Pont Aven” sails from Plymouth at 1630.Once you board you may go directly to your cabin and install yourself then begin to explore the many amenities of the vessel.
You’ll find a self-service restaurant, coffee shop, gourmet restaurant and piano bar. The main bar is where live entertainment takes place during the voyage. There’s a beauty shop and duty-paid shop selling tobacco, beer and wine at keen prices. A bookshop completes the shopping area on Deck 7.
There are two cinemas which show the latest films and an indoor swimming pool . Finally at the aft of the ship is a large area of the deck available for taking the sun.
We reach Santander at 1300(Spanish time) on Monday and you may leave your belongings in your cabin when you go ashore. The ship berths in the heart of this charming city and the main square is an easy 10-minute stroll. Just a few steps away from the Terminal there are various bars and shops which will give you the authentic feel of real Spain.
The ship begins its return crossing at 1630 and once again, the amenities are there for you to enjoy. The award-winning Le Flora silver service restaurant offers a unique and very attractive opportunity to dine in style and watch the ocean glide by.
The cruise continues next day as we enter the English Channel and sail eastwards to Portsmouth where we dock at 1700. After clearing Immigration and Customs formalities you will find a coach or minicoach, dependent on numbers, waiting to bring you back to Plymouth. The drive takes about 4 ½ hours dependent upon traffic conditions.

Ex-Portsmouth

The “Pont Aven” sails from Portsmouth at 1100 on Wednesdays . We reach Santander at 1200(Spanish time) on Thursday and you may leave your belongings in your cabin when you go ashore. The ship begins its return crossing at 1500 (Spanish time) and once again, the amenities are there for you to enjoy. The cruise continues next day as we enter the English Channel and sail eastwards to Plymouth where we dock at 0930. After clearing Immigration and Customs formalities you will find transport (coach,minicoach or car - dependent upon numbers) waiting to bring you back to Portsmouth Ferryport . The drive takes about 4 ½ hours dependent upon traffic conditions. NB Unlike last year, we are NOT running a coach TO Portsmouth this year as the start would be too early.

Individual Bookings

If you don’t require our coach transfer you can make an individual reservation on either route on any date (subject to availability) and £10 per person is deducted from the cost.
(NB There are no 2-bedded cabins on the ship or 2-berth cabins with porthole)

Booking Conditions

Full payment is required is required at time of booking. However, if the departure date is more than 2 months ahead we will accept a £20 per person deposit(non-returnable) if you prefer.Please inform us at the time of booking if this is your wish. No charges are made for credit or debit cards. If you wish to pay by cheque or postal order please make the booking and then send the payment within the next 5 days. Cancellation. If you cancel more than 14 days in advance we will refund 85% of the cost. If you cancel after that there is no refund and if you fail to show up there is no refund. There is no charge to amend names.
