Costa Brava

For over 30 years from 1972 onwards we used to visit the sunny Costa Brava at least once a week and usually twice a week (with a double-decker) and Estartit was our main base. The welcoming Coll family hosted many people on their first foreign holiday in the sun and their first taste of Spain. Sadly our clientele outgrew the tiring overnight coach journey and eventually the number of clients dwindled to uneconomic proportions and we pulled out of holidays to this area a few years ago.

However, the Costa Brava didn't go away and in recent years has re-invented itself and improved the quality of its tourist infrastructure - not least the Hotel Medes II of which many people will retain happy memories. The hotel has been completely revamped and now has a swimming pool.

We don't plan to run any coaches in the future but we have never lost contact with the Coll family and the growth of cheap flights now includes connections from Bristol and Newquay to Girona. We would be happy to book the hotel for you and either transfers or car rental at the airport. We can't book the flights unfortunately, this is something you will have to do yourself.
