Champagne! Just the thought of this lovely region make you sparkle! Our weekends will show just how different Champagne really is with houses large and small visited over three days.
We leave on Friday morning and drive to Folkestone to take the Eurotunnel to France. On arrival at Calais we head towards Reims. In the late afternoon our first tasting will be at Taittinger or Mumm in the city environs.
We then check in to the Quality Hotel for two nights. We have dinner at the hotel this evening.
On Saturday we head for Epernay and the house of Leclerc Briant to taste followed by lunch. In the afternoon we drive south to Bouzy to meet and taste with the ebullient Herbert Beaufort. We return to Reims in the late afternoon. Evening free and dinner at leisure.
On Sunday we taste at the house of Vadin Plateau at the village of Cumieres followed by lunch after which we head for Calais. Once more we travel under the Channel to Folkestone and continue homewards.
