St Pol is a pleasant little town which has been rapidly expanding over the past few years. The town centre has an interesting pedestrianised area and boasts two of the finest buildings in Brittany, the cathedral and the Kreisker Chapel. It is central to the important agricultural industry of Brittany and all around the town are fields of cauliflowers and artichokes. Quiet, not all noisy and just the job for a relaxing weekend away from it all. The Hotel Le Passiflore is 2*, very friendly and geared to pleasing their guests. Rooms are all equipped with private facilities and the cuisine is home-style throughout.

Concarneau 4 days

This fishing port and resort has been pleasing our clients for years and its attraction never fades. In the town itself, the main feature is the old walled town and the location of our hotel is perfect, just metres away from a sandy beach and a nice stroll along the promenade to the town centre. The excursions are very interesting, not too much driving and plenty of time to relax and take in the sights.
We leave Plymouth on the overnight Thursday sailing. A cabin is provided for the crossing.
We reach Roscoff at 0700 (local time) on Friday and after disembarkation we set off westwards to the main city of the region, Brest. We park in the centre near the Arsenal and you'll have time for some sightseeing. In the early afternoon we set off for Concarneau. On arrival we check in to the Hotel de l'Océan for two nights. The hotel is well known locally for its cuisine (and also by hundreds of our previous clients) and is located opposite a sandy beach. It has a covered and heated swimming pool in the garden with Jacuzzi and Fitness room.
On Saturday we drive to Quimper, the ancient capital of Cornouaille. There's an outdoor street market taking place on Saturdays near the centre where we park. We'll spend the morning here and in the early afternoon we travel to the resort of Bénodet calling in at the Hypermarket en route. Once again, dinner will be at the hotel.
Sunday morning is free to do as you wish. Have a lie-in, use the swimming pool, stroll along the promenade, visit the beach outside the hotel or visit the Old Quarter.
We leave the hotel in the late morning heading for Roscoff and en route will call into the "Red Cash" wine and beer warehouse for final drinks shopping. Finally we drive to the Ferryport to catch the 1630 sailing. This reaches Plymouth at 2030 and the coach then returns to the original pick up points.

Quiberon used to be an island and is now joined to the mainland by a narrow isthmus pointing out into the Gulf of Morbihan. It's an area of maritime pines, sand dunes with fine sandy beaches, cliffs and rocks. The town is a popular holiday resort but also has a busy fishing harbour and sardine boats unload their catch to be enjoyed fresh or canned in local canneries. This destination is a typical French holiday resort.
We leave Plymouth on Thursday on the overnight sailing, a cabin is provided.
On landing in France on Friday at 0700 we drive southwards through the centre of northern Brittany to Lorient where we stop for sightseeing in this bustling port and naval base.
In the mid-afternoon we continue the short distance to Quiberon and the 3* Hotel Europa where we check in for two nights with buffet breakfast and dinner with wine. This modern hotel overlooks the bay and has an indoor swimming pool for your added pleasure. A sandy beach is just metres from the hotel and the yachting marina is a short walk away.
On Saturday we head for Vannes, a charming old town with ramparts, cobbled streets and a port area. It's market day so there should be a lively atmosphere . In the afternoon we travel back to Quiberon by way of Carnac-Plage.
We leave on Sunday morning and travel northwards to Quimper and then over the Armorique National Park to Roscoff where we spend the remainder of the day before catching the 1630 ferry to Plymouth which arrives in England at 2130.
