An opportunity to enjoy a short break in Brittany and a relaxing cruise across the Channel. This year we offer three options for you to consider. The basic format is the same for all, only the destination differs. We leave Plymouth on the 1230 Friday sailing and during the crossing you can enjoy all the facilities of the “Bretagne”- cinemas, fine restaurant, bar, shops etc. We return the following Sunday at 1500/1530 on the brand new “Armorique” reaching Plymouth at 2030.
This weekend has the least coach time of any tour in the brochure. We have reduced the driving time to the absolute minimum so that you have plenty of time on the ground experiencing the local scene, up close and personal, rather than through the coach window. We have arranged a very good deal with the restaurant/hotel in St Pol where we bring our Express clients for dinner before catching the ferry home. The rooms are complete with private facilities and are best described as modest rather than luxurious but ideal for an inexpensive weekend break. Good, home cooked food is a big feature of this weekend break. We don’t think you’ll be disappointed!
St Pol is a pleasant little town which has been rapidly expanding over the past few years. The town centre has an interesting pedestrianised area and two of the finest buildings in Brittany, the cathedral and the Kreisker Chapel. It is central to the important agricultural industry of Brittany and all around the town are fields of cauliflowers and artichokes. Quiet, not all noisy and just the job for a relaxing weekend away from it all.
We reach Roscoff Ferryport at 1900 (local time) and after disembarkation it is a short drive to our hotel at St Pol de Léon, the Hotel-Restaurant le Passiflore, just off the town centre. You’ll have time for an aperitif before dinner.
On Saturday morning we drive to Morlaix where it is market day and the stalls are set up under the viaduct in the town centre. There’s a lively atmosphere and no doubt you will be able to find some bargains. We’ll spend the morning here and we leave around noon to call into the Hypermarket for essential shopping.
We then continue in the early afternoon alongside the River Morlaix to the small resort of Carantec with its sandy beach. Later in the afternoon we return to St Pol de Léon where there will be time for sightseeing in this historic little town before dinner and overnight.
We leave the hotel on Sunday morning and head to Roscoff for final sightseeing and en route will call into the “Red Cash” wine and beer warehouse. We catch the 1530 sailing to England.
Cost includes: travel by executive coach; ferry passage; 2 nights at a 2** hotel, all rooms with private facilities and breakfast and dinner with wine; excursions.

This fishing port and resort has been pleasing our clients for years and its attraction never fades. In the town itself, the main feature is the old walled town and the location of our hotel is perfect, just metres away from a sandy beach and a nice stroll along the promenade to the town centre. The excursions are very interesting, not too much driving and plenty of time to relax and take in the sights.
We leave Plymouth on the 1230 Friday sailing. We reach Roscoff at 1900 (local time) and after disembarkation we set off southwards via Morlaix and across the Monts d’Arrées to Concarneau. On arrival we check in to the Hotel de l’Ocean for two nights. The hotel is well known locally for its cuisine (and also by hundreds of our previous clients )and is located opposite a sandy beach. It has a covered and heated swimming pool in the garden.
On Saturday we drive to Quimper, the ancient capital of Cornouaille. There’s an outdoor street market taking place on Saturdays near the centre where we park. We’ll spend the morning here and in the early afternoon we travel to the resort of Bénodet calling in at the Hypermarket en route.
Once again, dinner will be at the hotel.
Sunday morning is free to do as you wish. Have a lie-in, use the swimming pool, stroll along the promenade , visit the beach outside the hotel or visit the Old Quarter.
We leave the hotel in the late morning heading for Roscoff and en route will call into the “Red Cash” wine and beer warehouse for final drinks shopping. Finally we drive to the Ferryport to catch the 1530 sailing. This reaches Plymouth at 2030 and the coach then returns to the original pick up points.

An opportunity to enjoy a short break in the north-east of Brittany with its rugged coastline where golden ,sandy beaches are interspersed by rugged rocky outcrops of land and little inlets which lead into meandering rivers throughout the countryside. The highlight will be an old-fashioned steam train ride along the banks of the river Trieux but there’ll also be some beach time and a visit to the local weekly market. Our hotel is the modest 2* Hotel Ibis which is situated near the centre of the pretty little riverside town of Lannion, the gateway to the Côtes d’Armor region. Clean and comfortable with good food and an excellent bar, the hotel has been pleasing our clients greatly since we first started using it about four years ago.
We leave Plymouth on the 1230 Friday sailing arriving at Roscoff at 1900 (local time) and after disembarkation we drive to our hotel at Lannion where we’ll have a late dinner. We stay for three nights with breakfast and dinner with wine included.
On Saturday morning we set off for Paimpol where we board “La Vapeur du Trieux” a steam train that ambles alongside the River Trieux. During the journey the train stops in the woods where you disembark and enjoy a crepe and a glass of cider whilst listening to local Breton folk music. We then continue to Pontrieux, where the coach meets us at the station and takes us into the pretty little village
with several cafes, restaurants and art shops. In the early afternoon we will resume our drive and travel to Tréguier for a short visit and then back to the hotel at Lannion for dinner and overnight, stopping at a Hypermarket en route.
On Sunday morning there’s time to relax and take it easy. Have a stroll around Lannion and in the late morning we’ll travel to
Plestin les Grèves for a short stop and maybe a stroll on the sands before continuing to our last halt in Brittany, a call into the “Red
Cash” wine and beer warehouse for final drinks shopping.
Finally we drive to the Ferryport to catch the 1530/1630 sailing to England (on the new “Armorique”). We reach Plymouth at 2030 or
2130 (local time) and after disembarkation, the coach returns to the original pick up points.
Cost includes: travel by executive coach; ferry passage; 2 nights at a 2** hotel, all rooms with private facilities, breakfast and dinner with wine; excursions as described including the train ride.
